Ruth has been working in fine art handmade paper since receiving a BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1982. Her work has been shown internationally and can be found in many private and corporate collections including those of IBM, AT&T, Xerox, and the University of Rochester. A full time producing artist, Ruth established “Springwater Paperworks” studio in Hemlock, New York, and is represented by the Rochester Renaissance Gallery. As an educator, she has given papermaking workshops and demonstrations since 1990 and has been a New York State Arts in Education Artist since 1994.
